GNOME Usability Issues Analyzed As Part Of GNOME OPW
As part of the latest round of GNOME's Women Outreach Program, usability issues with GNOME were analyzed.
The latest GNOME OPW round just ended last week and one of the projects for getting women involved with open-source/free software was analyzing the usability of GNOME. The final results from this OPW study aren't yet completed but Jim Hall served as a mentor for the project and has shared a preview of the results.
From the initial data published, some of these classic desktop users experienced the most difficulties with certain Gedit and GNOME Photos tasks, among others. It's hard to analyze the results overall until the full results are published, which is expected to be within the next week. The preview results shared by Jim Hall about GNOME usability can be found via this blog post.
