GNU Binutils 2.27 Released

Version 2.27 of GNU's Binutils has been released.

GNU Binutils 2.27 adds --enable-64-bit-archive and --elf-stt-common= options.

Gas as part of Binutils 2.27 now defaults to gas compressed debug sections for Linux/x86, support for the ARMv8-M architecture, ARC back-end improvements, new configure / command-line options, and various other new switches.

LD as part of Binutils 2.27 adds new linker options and other minor enhancements.

Binutils 2.27 isn't the most exciting release, but if you are interested in learning more stop by GNU.org.
