LINUX KERNEL
Just hours after Linus Torvalds released the Linux 4.0 kernel, the GNU Linux-Libre 4.0 kernel was released by the Free Software Foundation of Latin America.

The GNU Linux-libre kernel continues to be focused on deblobbing the upstream Linux kernel of any non-free firmware/microcode files, the removal of obfuscated source code, and other code that isn't "100% free software." Changes for GNU Linux-libre-4.0-gnu on top of the previous releases and upstream Linux 4.0 changes is cosmetically deblobbing the "cyapa" and "ssp_sensors" drivers, and updated deblobbing and checking of the reverse-engineered Nouveau driver.

More details on the GNU Linux-libre 4.0 kernel update can be found via the project's page at FSFLA.org.
