A feature now possible for GTK+ 4 thanks to the recent merging of the GTK Scene Kit (GSK) is frame-by-frame recording and replaying.

Thanks to the GSK rework, the GTK+ Inspector can handle recording and replaying of the GTK render node tree on a per-frame basis. This should be useful in debugging GTK+ rendering problems of applications as well as optimizing the GSK integration.

Details on the frame-by-frame recording and playback of GTK4 can be found via this blog post by Red Hat developer Matthias Clasen where he also includes a brief demo video.
