COREBOOT
A new, low-cost Gigabyte motherboard that supports Intel's Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processors is now supported by upstream Coreboot.

The newly-enabled board is the Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V, which uses the Intel B75 chipset. This micro-ATX motherboard has two DDR3 memory slots, one PCI Express x16 slot, Serial ATA 3.0, and other basic modern Intel features. Making this board nice for tinkering with Coreboot is that it does feature a Dual BIOS/UEFI with two 64Mbit flash chips, should flashing of Coreboot on this motherboard go wrong.

The Gigabyte B75M-D3V motherboard is currently selling for around $70+ USD.

This new motherboard port was done by Damien Zammit with this commit and is now successfully booting to Linux.

Also interesting in Coreboot Git world today was this Git commit that enables the USB3/XHCI support for the Lenovo ThinkPad T430s, T530, and X230 laptops.
