Intel's Open-Source Technology Center has some new code ready for testing on their DRM kernel graphics driver.

Daniel Vetter, Intel's DRM maintainer, has announced a new -testing cycle with "cool stuff", per his announcement.

Highlights of the drm-intel-testing branch update include some mode-setting related fixes, more work on enabling Kabylake (Skylake's successor), the first bits of MST audio support, some code re-factoring, pinned fbdev, tuned busywait logic for avoiding wasted CPU cycles, and other fixes.

It's great to see Kabylake coming along well and will hopefully all be mainlined well ahead of the product launch and in better shape than the bit of the bumpy Skylake Linux support at launch-time, with Skylake really only working the best for graphics and audio on Linux 4.3+ kernels.
