KDE Connect 1.0 Released For Device/Phone Communication
KDE Connect is the interesting project for integrating notifications and more from your phone or other mobile device onto the KDE desktop. With KDE Connect you can receive smartphone notifications on your computer as well as using your phone as a remote control to the desktop.
KDE Connect implements a secure communication protocol over the network and supports interffacing with devices on KDE, Android, and BlackBerry. KDE Connect on iPhone is still a work-in-progress. Today marks the KDE Connect 1.0 release.
KDE Connect 1.0 adds support for trigerring custom commands from your phone, replying to SMS messages from the desktop, getting desktop notifications on your phone, TLS encryption support for communication, and more.
