A pre-alpha is out of Kexi 3, the port of the visual database creator to KDE Frameworks 5 and Qt 5.4.

The porting of Kexi to the new toolkit and platform has been going on for just a few weeks but is already making much progress. With the Qt5 usage the program is faster, cleaner, and closer to mobile.

Kexi 3 is also making use of a new KDb Framework that's intended for KDE Business applications.

Those interested in learning more about Kexi 3 can find all of the details via this blogs.kde.org post.
