KDE Plasma 5.5 Beta Presents New Features

The beta was released today for KDE's Plasma 5.5 in preparation for the official update due out in December.

The Plasma 5.5 Beta ships with an updated Breeze theme,new application launcher features, new applets in Plasma add-ons, updates to the user switch, switching to OpenGL ES in KWin has been restored, significantly better Wayland support, and many other changes. KDE Plasma 5.5 is now ready for early adopters wanting to run Wayland with its variety of improvements.

While the Wayland support improvements are what interest many of us the most, there's also other Plasma 5.5 improvements. More details at KDE.org.
