OPERATING SYSTEMS
Available this weekend is the latest version of Knoppix, version 7.6.

It's been a while since last hearing anything about Knoppix, the Debian-based Linux distribution viewed as the original Live CD/DVD OS, but an update has been pushed out this weekend.

Knoppix 7.6 can be found from FTP mirrors as of today. This is the first update since Knoppix 7.4.2 from September of 2014.

As of yet I haven't been able to find any release notes for Knoppix 7.6 on the English or German web-sites for the Linux distribution. Earlier this month was just the announcement of, "On November 14th 2015, a Linux Presentation Day will take place at various locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where visitors can get information and hands-on experience with possibilities and applications around the open source GNU/Linux system. For this occasion, some of the local organizers will issue an edition of Knoppix 7.6, independently."
