One week after tagging LLVM 3.7-RC1, Hans Wennborg of Google announced its formal release on Thursday.

The very brief 3.7-RC1 release announcement can be read here. It doesn't mention the changes for LLVM/Clang 3.7, but the earlier article has more details on the forthcoming changes. LLVM 3.7 is also needed by the open-source AMD driver for exposing OpenGL 4.1 with its AMD GPU back-end.

LLVM 3.7 is expected for release in late August.
