WAYLAND
Just days after the release of libinput 1.0 there is now out the first point release.

Libinput 1.0.1 has arrived just to fix a constant acceleration for the Lenovo ThinkPad X230. From 1.0-rc1 through 1.0, the scroll speed was "way too fast" due to missing some important hooks.

More details via the mailing list announcement. From my testing of libinput on Wayland with the GNOME Shell as well as under X.Org via xf86-input-libinput, this input handling library has been working out quite well.
