Mauro Carvalho Chehab has sent in a big pull request of the media subsystem updates for the Linux 4.14 kernel. This time around there are multiple new drivers yielding around a net addition of around 30k lines to the Linux kernel.

The increase in media size for Linux 4.14 comes due to a number of new drivers being introduced this cycle. Among the new Linux media drivers are new DVB front-ends for MaxLinear mxl5xx, STMicroelectronics stv0910, and STMicroelectronics stv6111. There is also a new AMS as3645a LED camera flash driver, adv748X HDMI receiver driver, Omnivision 6650 5M camera driver, AO-CEC Meson HDMI CEC driver, Qualcomm camss V4L2 driver, and new gpio-ir-tx / pwm-ir-tx / zx-irdec remote controller drivers.

Other media work for Linux 4.14 includes updating the DDbridge DVB driver, a "massive" update to the DVB kernel documentation, and many other driver clean-ups and improvements.

The list of media changes for Linux 4.14 can be found via this pull request.
