Linus Torvalds has announced the release of the Linux 4.2-rc3 kernel version.

This latest development update to Linux 4.2 is yet another normal weekly update to the kernel. Torvalds explained in the release announcement, "Normal Sunday release schedule, and a fairly normal rc release. There was some fallout from the x86 FPU cleanups, but that only hit CPU'swith the xsaves instruction, and it should be all good now."

The release announcement in full can be found via LKML.org. For those not yet familiar with this major new kernel version, there are many new features to the Linux 4.2 kernel.
