There Is A Bunch Of ACPI & Power Management Updates For Linux 4.4

Rafael Wysocki notes that with the power management and ACPI updates for Linux 4.4 there are "quite a [few] features are included this time" for improving Linux power use.

The ACPI/PM update for the Linux 4.4 kernel lands the Collaborative Processor Performance Control interface for 64-bit ARM, Linux ACPI has a new early probing method for IRQ chips and clock sources, there are a number of other ACPI core improvements, and a new method for device drivers of knowing whether the system is going to suspend-to-RAM or suspend-to-idle.

This pull also has various CPUFreq driver updates, Intel Broxton support for the power-capping RAPL driver, and other hardware-specific changes. More details via this lengthy LKML message.
