Rob Clark with Freedreno's MSM DRM driver is the latest to be updated in DRM-Next ahead of the Linux 4.4 merge window.

This MSM-Next update isn't too big this time around for Qualcomm graphics updates. One of the more notable additions in this pull request is initial support for the MSM8996, a.k.a. the Snapdragon 820. That Snapdragon 820 support comes thanks to Qualcomm's Innovation Center releasing the code in tandem with the public announcement of the new SoC.

The Snapdragon 820 is a brand new design with Adreno 530 graphics. The patches for the MSM DRM open-source driver were published back in September.

Details on the other MSM DRM driver changes that are now queued up for Linux 4.4 can be found via this DRM-Next pull.
