LINUX KERNEL
Linus Torvalds has continued his Sunday evening tradition of releasing new Linux kernel test builds: meet Linux 4.4-rc3.

Linux 4.4-rc3 was tagged just moments ago as the latest development build of Linux 4.4. Being well past the merge window, it's been another week of many fixes landing in the Linux kernel code-base. While we're now to the bug fixing period, Linux 4.4 does bring with it many new features/changes.

The Linux 4.4-rc3 codename remains "Blurry Fish Butt" in Git.

At the time of writing this post, Linus Torvalds has yet to send out any 4.4-rc3 release announcement on the LKML. Will update if he mentions anything else interesting once sending it out. Linux 4.4 final is still likely about four weeks out at least from being released.
