The third alpha release of Ubuntu 12.10, the Quantal Quetzal, is now available.

Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha 3 ships an updated Linux 3.5 kernel, Python 3.0 as the default (and only) Python environment on the CD, improvements to the Ubuntu Update Manager (now known as the Ubuntu Software Updater), Unity 6.0 has landed on the desktop, updated X.Org components, LibreOffice is now at version 3.6.0-rc2, and GNOME 3.5.4 is now available as a preview of GNOME 3.6.

On the Ubuntu Server side, one of the changes they are attempting is to remove the i386 Ubuntu Server CD image so that there's only x86_64/AMD64 support.

Other Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha 3 changes are talked about on the Ubuntu.com Wiki.
