Version 1.3 of intel-gpu-tools was released with "too much stuff changed", well, with 177 changes compared to the earlier release of this open-source GPU tools package for Intel hardware.

Intel GPU Tools 1.3 features improvements to their test suite, DPF tool for handling L3 re-mapping on Gen7/Ivy-Bridge, robustifying against WC GTT mappings, improvements to the register dumper (reg_dumper) and the register read/write tools, and initial support for Intel Haswell hardware.

The intel-gpu-tools package offers up a variety of small tools for use with Intel graphics during development and testing, e.g. for register dumping, BIOS dumping, upload tests, GPU top, etc.

If you're interested in this major release, see the intel-gpu-tools 1.3 announcement for more information on the massive changes found in this long overdue release.
