While Digia's acquisition of Qt from Nokia has been closed for less than one month, concerns are already arising amongst users/developers when it comes to distinguishing the Digia company versus the Qt Project.

In a new mailing list post by Stephen Kelly of KDAB, he expresses concerns about distinguishing the Qt Project versus Digia.

The Qt Project Twitter account had tweeted a Digia video that basically comes down to being a Digia promotional video, which sparked his concerns about the lines being blurred between the Digia commercial company with Qt Commercial and the open-source Qt Project. There's also no clear understanding of who is handling the Qt Project social media accounts

Knoll Lars, the longtime Qt developer and now Digia employee, does agree with Stephen in his views, as do many others who responded thus far about concerns over blurring the lines between the open-source and commercial products. The mailing list discussion is still active.
