DarkTable 1.1 Supports OpenCL For Images

DarkTable is an open-source photography workflow application and RAW developer that provides a virtual light table and dark-room. The 1.1 release of this leading free software program for dealing with RAW images now supports utilizing OpenCL plus other new features.

Prominent features to DarkTable 1.1 include new camera support (Canon EOS M support and a Samsung NX fix), new white-balance presets, support for searching for images that look alike, geo-tagging support, a command-line interface for exporting images, various user-interface improvements, darkroom improvements, improved per-screen color manager, and most DarkRoom modules can now take advantage of GPGPU computing via OpenCL kernels.

The DarkTable program was first covered on Phoronix earlier this year.
