AMD released the Catalyst 12.12 Linux graphics driver for those still reliant upon their binary blob for Radeon/FirePro graphics card support.

The Catalyst 12.12 for Linux release is based upon the fglrx 9.01 release stream and it can be found for download from the AMD.com embedded area for Linux x86/x86_64.

Among the features to this driver (the fglrx 9.01 series) includes proper X.Org Server 1.13 support, performance improvements for Valve's Linux games, and a couple of bug-fixes.
