Integrated Computer Solutions released Motif 2.3.4 this week and with the point release comes the availability of the X toolkit under the LGPL v2.1 license.

ICS describes Motif 2.3.4 as a "major bug fix release" with many fixes being noted from the release notes.

Motif was formally closed-source and there was the also LGPL-licensed LessTif project that sprung up to implement the toolkit's API, but now we have the official implementation and with binaries for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, and Ubuntu.
