Intel 2.20.13 Driver Update Carries More Bug-Fixes
Chris Wilson of Intel's Open-Source Technology Center continues releasing new xf86-video-intel 2.20.x point releases.
For a while Chris was releasing new Intel X.Org driver updates weekly but that has settled down now with most SNA fall-out and other recent changes having been worked out. However, on Sunday morning he found it time to release the xf86-video-intel 2.20.13 driver.
This new Intel DDX doesn't offer up any new features but is purely a bug-fix release.
Among the notable bugs that were addressed in the updates this round is preventing overflow, a RandR/Xinerama fix, and various drawing-related fixes. The bug-fix list can be found per this Git commit.
Most of the interesting open-source Intel driver changes happen within their Mesa DRI driver and their Linux kernel DRM driver. On the DRM side, the next development cycle (Linux 3.8 kernel) will offer stabilized Haswell support along with various other fixes and minor enhancements. On the Mesa side, they are working on OpenGL ES 3.0 compliance.
