While no future generation Geode processors are coming out of AMD, the open-source community still continues to maintain the Geode X.Org graphics driver. Released on Sunday was the xf86-video-geode 2.11.14 driver.

The xf86-video-geode 2.11.14 DDX driver release packs in 20 official changes, including an x86_64 fix, modern X.Org Server support, and several EXA fixes. There's also some other random fixes/changes tossed in.

This is actually the first release to support the X.Org Server 1.13 API and X.Org Servers without XAA. X.Org Server 1.13 was released in early September but only now is this new Geode driver that supports the new X Server coming about, but then again the Geode isn't exactly commonplace hardware.

Those with AMD Geode hardware still running on a modern Linux stack, this latest X.Org graphics driver release can be obtained from this post.
