New Steam Linux Client Beta Released

Valve released this week a new beta version of their Linux Steam client.

The Linux-specific changes for the new Steam Client Beta fix handling the HTTP proxy environment variable, the overlay enable hotkey works better, and a tweak to the most-recently-played tray menu. General improvements include rate limiting support for game downloads, a new view button, and web chat improvements.
