Valve's Gabe Newell To Keynote LinuxCon 2013

Gabe Newell, the well-known leader of Valve Software, will be keynoting this year's Linux Foundation LinuxCon event.

The Linux Foundation announced today the LinuxCon keynote speakers that include Gabe Newell of Valve and Eben Upton of Raspberry Pi are their top keynote speakers this year for LinuxCon. Other keynotes include the usual talks by the Linux Foundation, the Linux Kernel Panel, HP, and Intel's Open-Source Technology Center.

Gabe will reportedly be talking about their switch to Linux with the debut of Steam for Linux and the Source Engine now natively running on Linux. Their forthcoming SteamBox that may be announced prior to LinuxCon is also Linux-powered.

LinuxCon North America is taking place from 16 to 18 September in New Orleans.
