Just two weeks after talking about a Qt 5 tool-kit port for the Tizen platform being worked on, the first release is now available.

Qt for Tizen 1.0 Alpha 1 is the first release and it provides a mobile-optimized cross-platform experience with a standard look and feel for Tizen devices.

The Qt Framework for Tizen is currently based upon the Qt 5.1 Beta and supports using the Tizen Emulator too. The Qt Tizen integration provides a set of native controls that integrate with the default look and feel of the Tizen mobile profile.

More details on this first release of Qt for Tizen along with screenshots can be gathered from the lengthy release announcement on the project's new blog.
