Git 1.8.2 Gets New Features, Ported To QNX

The second point release in the Git 1.8 series will introduce several new end-user features and support for new operating systems.

Git 1.8.2-rc0 was released on Sunday by Junio Hamano and provides a glimpse at what's to come with this next release.

Git 1.8.2 features initial ports to the QNX and z/OS UNIX System Services operating systems, improvements to the completion script, and improvements to many different Git sub-commands. Git 1.8.2 also has improvements to its foreign interface, performance improvements, and many bug-fixes.
