Dell has released an updated XPS 13 laptop that now has an 1920 x 1080 FHD display while shipping Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Announced today in cooperation with Canonical is a new Dell XPS 13 laptop that has a higher-resolution 1920 x 1080 13.3-inch display. This isn't as good as the Apple Retina MacBook Pro, but at least there's finally a Dell Ubuntu laptop with a nicer display compared to past models.

The weight on this 13.3-inch laptop is 2.99 lbs and within the United States the updated Linux laptop targeting developers is currently priced at $1549 USD.

Canonical also says they will now be offering this XPS 13 Ubuntu laptop in parts of Europe, Middle East, and Africa too. More details on this updated Ubuntu laptop can be found here.
