Mesa 9.2 was originally planned for release yesterday, but that didn't happen, and the new plan is to release next week.

After forgetting to do release candidates, one RC came on Monday and Intel's Ian Romanick decided to do an RC2 on Thursday rather than the final release.

Ian now hopes to release Mesa 9.2 final next week Tuesday, 27 August, per the release announcement.

Mesa 9.2 has many performance improvements but isn't a state for all Linux desktop users particularly with its belated OpenGL support.
