Qt 5.2, which is expected for release in November or December, will feature a new Qt Quick Scene Graph Renderer.

Merged into the latest Qt development code is a new scene graph renderer that delivers much faster performance and other optimizations. The new renderer in Qt 5.2 is much faster than before and makes better use of GPUs. For those wanting to learn the specifics of this new scene graph renderer, read the Digia Qt blog.

Besides the new renderer, Qt 5.2 is expected to incorporate new functionality for KDE Frameworks 5 and have an assortment of other improvements and new features for this six-month update to the increasingly popular multi-platform open-source toolkit.
