Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, a first person shooter by The Farm 51 and released in 2012 for Windows, is now out for Linux. This Unreal Engine 3 title can be found in beta on Steam for Linux.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is a remake and sequel to the original Painkiller game from 2004. We have known for a while the title would be heading to Linux and then this morning we were tweeted as to its Linux beta state on Steam.

Leszek Godlewski, who previously worked for The Farm 51 and was involved with the Linux port is also the one that wrote about his developer lessons in porting games to Linux.

This morning there was a beta announcement for this Unreal Engine 3 title via SteamCommunity.com. The developers recommend using the closed-source binary GPU drivers and warn of slow shader compiling times regardless due to Unreal Engine 3.
