After writing earlier this month that UPower 1.0 is nearing, UPower 0.99.0 has been released this morning.

UPower 0.99.0 has major API changes over UPower 0.9 and new features like new properties for all devices, a DisplayDevice composite battery, enforcing of critical battery policy on the daemon side, many bug-fixes, and some features have also been dropped. There's also support for Bluetooth input device batteries.

More details on UPower 0.99.0 are available from its Git commit.
