Digia released Qt Creator 2.8.0 on Thursday at the latest version of their popular open-source integrated development environment.

This is the first major Qt Creator release since March and it comes with many new features. Some of the highlights for Qt Creator 2.8.0 include UI improvements, more refactoring actions for C++, experimental support for LLVM's LLDB debugger on Mac OS X, improved Android support with graphically editing manifest files and QML debugging/profiling, a BlackBerry development environment setup wizard, improvements to the Git version control integration, and an editor specific for the Python programming language was added.

More details on the changes for Digia's Qt Creator 2.8.0 release can be found in this Qt blog post.
