Blender 2.68 Improves Modeling, Cycles Performance

It's time for another big release of the Blender open-source 3D modelling software. Blender 2.68 contains fixes and enhancements throughout the entire multi-platform program.

The Blender 2.68 release today introduces many new mesh modelling tools while others were improved, the Cycles render performance was improved (including for GPUs), the motion tracker has been enhanced, and the smoke rendering qwuality has been bettered. Python scripts within Blender3D files are also now disabled by default on loading over security concerns. Over 280 bug-fixes are said to be part of Blender 2.68
