It's been a while since hearing anything out of the once very promising MythTV project. This week though they have issued their MythTV 0.27 release as the code-base goes into a soft-freeze for doing an official release in the months ahead.

A final release date for MythTV 0.27 isn't known yet besides having out a beta and release candidates in August. Features to be added to MythTV 0.27 include MythMusic Radio Streaming, initial support for themed menus, a notification center, AirPlay photo sharing, and AirTunes visual playback.

Additional details on MythTV 0.27 can be found through their work-in-progress Wiki release notes and the 0.27 Alpha announcement from MythTV.org.
