Vote On The Linux Distro To Be Benchmarked

Yesterday I opened the discussion about what Linux distribution should be benchmarked the most at Phoronix given that many Linux enthusiasts and readers are not fond of the direction of Ubuntu. To not much surprise given the very opinionated Phoronix readers, there's been about 200 comments and counting.

From these many comments, there's a handful of Linux distributions that are worthwhile and continue to be voiced. The rest of the comments are rather surprising and illustrate the comment authors clearly not reading the original posting with regard to requirements for using a Linux distribution as a major testing platform at Phoronix. For the other multiple comment posters suggesting a handful of Linux distributions for each article on Phoronix are clearly living in a magical land where no one is using AdBlock, there's limitless Linux advertisers, unlimited staff and resources, etc -- rather than reality where nearly all of the content and benchmarks on this site are painstakingly done by your's truly.

Anyhow, to complement the existing Phoronix Forums thread and to try to make the feedback more structured, there's now a Linux distribution poll to vote (once) on the Linux distribution you would like to see tested the most at Phoronix.

This poll isn't about voting for a distribution to be used exclusively at Phoronix, the distribution(s) to be used for the next multi-way comparison, or anything other than what distribution you would like to effectively see as the reference Linux testing platform at Phoronix -- given the requirements mentioned in the previously linked article. Thanks for the continued feedback.
