OwnCloud 6 Has New Design, File Previews

The ownCloud software for running your own private cloud server for storing files is up to version 6. With ownCloud 6 comes some very exciting features for this open-source private cloud software.

New in ownCloud 6 is an ownCloud Documents component that allows for collaborative editing of rich-text documents in the cloud. ALso new to ownCloud 6 is also user avatars, file previews, conflict handling, activity feed, a new design, and undelete support.

With these new features and other existing features, ownCloud is becoming quite a compelling open-source alternative to Dropbox and other cloud storage services for those wishing to run your own open-source cloud.
