The latest Wine development release is now available but it's not particularly exciting the week before Christmas.

Wine 1.7.9 was announced today as the latest bi-weekly development snapshot. Wine 1.7.9 provides improved window moving/resizing inside the Mac driver, DirectDraw palette fixes, reduced code duplication between C++ runtime versions, and various bug-fixes. There's a total of 47 reported bug-fixes for Wine 1.7.9.

The release announcement with full details on Wine 1.7.9 can be found via WineHQ.org.

In related Wine news, Stefan Doesinger at CodeWeavers recently updated several of his Wine-based OpenBenchmarking.org tests for use with the Phoronix Test Suite, for those interested in Wine/CrossOver benchmarking.
