Linux Mint 16 Xfce & KDE Versions Are Released
Last month Linux Mint 16 "Petra" was released with ISOs containing their Cinnamon GNOME3 fork and the MATE GNOME2 desktop fork. Released now are the Linux Mint 16 ports with the KDE and Xfce desktops.
Linux Mint 16 Xfce features the Xfce 4.10 desktop and features Whisker Menu 1.2, improved PulseAudio support, the MDM 1.4 log-in screen, and other changes found from Linux Mint 16 Petra and the upstream Ubuntu packages from which this distribution is derived.
Linux Mint 16 KDE ships with KDE SC 4.11 (not the recently released 4.12 packages), other imporvements found in the other Linux Mint 16 spins, has a new Samba Mounter for better handling network shares, software manager improvements, and other enhancements throughout.
