On the same day as announcing the tech preview for KDE Frameworks 5, the fifth point release to KDE 4.11 is now available.

Some KDE 4.12 components were released last month but KDE 4.11 is living on for the Workspaces, Applications, and Development Platform through August 2015 -- one year since the original 4.11.0 release. Most work by KDE developers is now around Plasma Workspaces 2 / KDE Frameworks 5, so KDE 4.11 has a longer life ahead.

The KDE 4.11.5 update that was released today has 65+ bug-fixes including improvements to Kontact, Umbrello, KWin, Konqueror, and other components.

For those wanting details on the KDE 4.11.5 monthly point release, check out the announcement at KDE.org.
