PC-BSD 10.0 RC4 is now available as one of the near-final releases of this major FreeBSD-derived operating system that is landing a new text-based installer, UEFI loader support, GNOME 3 / MATE / CInnamon desktops, and is shipping with all major FreeBSD 10.0 features.

FreeBSD 10.0-RC4 was announced in early January and already has been succeeded by FreeBSD 10.0 RC5 as of last week. PC-BSD is trailing these releases and on Wednesday shipped their PC-BSD 10.0 RC4 that re-based to the latest upstream FreeBSD changes.

Details on PC-BSD 10.0 RC4 can be found via their mailing list announcement. FreeBSD 10.0 has many new features and will be released in the near future.
