Alex Deucher announced a new xf86-video-ati DDX release this morning for the Radeon X.Org driver support.

It's been quite some time since the last xf86-video-ati driver release, so there's quite a number of changes to this driver, but fortunately many distributions have already been relying upon Git versions of this driver.

The changes in the 7.3.0 release include adding in the Berlin PCI IDs, enabling GLAMOR acceleration by default, supporting GLAMOR X-Video, support for tiling on Southern Islands hardware by default (a performance win), initial support for the Radeon R9 290 (Hawaii) graphics cards, and various other fixes and minor changes.

The xf86-video-ati 7.3.0 driver depends upon the GLAMOR 0.6 library that was released this morning.

More details on xf86-video-ati 7.3.0 can be found via Alex's release announcement.
