Git 1.9 RC1 Is Now Available

The first release candidate to the upcoming Git 1.9 revision control system is now available and with this major update comes a few new features.

Git 1.9 RC1 adds various new arguments and features to various sub-commands, GitWeb improvements, performance improvements, and many fixes.

For those interested in trying out the pre-final Git 1.9 release can find all of the release details via the Linux kernel mailing list.
