WAYLAND
Pekka Paalanen has sent out the second version of his presentation extension for Wayland that can help with an improved video playback experience in the Wayland world.

The presentation extension to Wayland allows queuing frames with a target presentation time for greater presentation accuracy. This second version of these still in-development patches has been re-designed to better handle resizing and making other improvements.

With this second version there can be accurate presentation feedback without buffer queueing, queueing support for EGL-based rendering, more detailed presentation feedback, and other changes to this protocol extension.

Those Wayland application developers interested in this presentation extension can read this mailing list post for all of the implementation details.
