WAYLAND
Kristian Høgsberg did a Halloween release yesterday of the Weston 1.3.1 compositor for Wayland.

Being a point release to Weston 1.3, there isn't any exciting new functionality, but there's many bug-fixes addressed. The fixes range from VT switching to X during Weston shutting down can crash X, rapid VT switching hanging the system, FBDEV compilation without EGL, the lock-screen hanging the compositor, fixing full-screen X11 mode, and other fixes. There's also minor new features of a option to disable the initial desktop fade-in and touch-to-focus support for touch screens.

Wayland/Weston 1.4 will be more exciting when it's released in December, but the Weston 1.3.1 details can be found from the mailing list announcement.
