LibreOffice was bumped today for version 4.2.0 Alpha 1, the next major update to the popular open-source office suite.

LibreOffice supports RTF import with initial support for group shapes, Calc gained new spreadsheet functions for better Microsoft Excel interoperability, random number generator support, new statistics functions, Impress remote control support for iOS, GNOME3 Application Menu integration, MATE and Xfce desktop integration, improved localization, and a whole lot of other improvements.

LibreOffice also recently gained support for a number of functions implemented via OpenCL for GPGPU usage and OpenGL canvas integration.

While LibreOffice 4.2.0.0 Alpha 1 has been bumped in Git, the official binaries have yet to come out, but for now you can read about LibreOffice 4.2 changes via the DocumentFoundation.org Wiki.
