As expected, the stable release of QEMU 1.7.0 has met the world.

This week we've been expecting the release of QEMU 1.7.0 final after the release of 1.7-rc2 earlier in the week. That official release of the open-source processor emulator commonly used in conjunction with Linux KVM is now available.

QEMU 1.7.0 presents many new features like audio improvements, better USB 3.0 support, and much more. On Tuesday I covered all of the changes at length within QEMU 1.7 Is Bringing New Features For Linux Emulation.

Those wanting to download QEMU 1.7 from source can find it on the QEMU.org download page. Meanwhile, since yesterday, QEMU 2.0 is officially under development.
