Genode OS 13.11 Brings Many Fantastic Features

The Genode OS Framework 13.11 release happened this Thanksgiving Day and with it comes a whole lot of exciting -- some experimental -- features.

The open-source operating system framework now has support for Qt5 QML, the Linux TCP/IP stack as a user-space library, FUSE file-system support, and HDMI support for the Raspberry Pi and Samsung Exynos 5 ARM boards. Genode OS 13.11 additionally has dynamic resource balancing support, switches to building under C++11 by default, improves event tracking, Gigabit networking via the Linux TCP/IP support, a new server API, new terminal services, device driver improvements, and a massive amount of other changes.

The Genode OS developers have also been working on porting the DosBox DOS emulator to their platform, libSDL support, and continued Mesa driver porting.
